About
For over 60 years the youth of Ellwood City have had the opportunity to play youth football thanks to the tremendous support of our community. Originally started in 1957 as the Ellwood City Optimists, then Blue Angels, and later Ellwood City Packers; since 1992 we have operated as the Ellwood City Little Wolverines. Ellwood City Little Wolverines Football (ECLWF) is a non-profit organization that offers youth football for all kids in the Ellwood City Area School District for kids ages 5 - 12 in grades K-6. We compete in the Tri-County Youth Football League (TCYFL).
Our mission as an organization is to see that each child has a safe, positive, and fun experience. Safety is always our number one priority. In addition to learning the game of football, our coaches strive to instill the important life lessons that are such a core part of the game. The hope is these life lessons such as discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and mental strength will stay with these kids for life.Â
